Step-by-Step: Generating QR Codes for Wi-Fi, Contacts, and URLs

A Wi-Fi QR code uses the standardized `WIFI:` protocol string. When scanned by an iPhone or Android phone, the operating system decodes the network credentials and displays a single button: "Join Network".

How to set it up in our Studio:

1. Click on the "Wi-Fi" tab in the generator studio.

2. Enter your Network SSID exactly as it appears in router settings (it is case-sensitive).

3. Choose your encryption type (WPA/WPA2/WPA3 is standard for almost all home and office routers).

4. Enter your network password. (Because our tool processes data 100% locally in your browser, your Wi-Fi password is never sent to our servers).

5. Check "Hidden Network" if your router does not broadcast its SSID publicly.

6. Download the SVG or PNG file and place it in your living room, cafe counter, or conference table.

Physical business cards often end up lost or in the trash. A vCard QR code encodes your name, company, job title, phone number, email address, website, and physical address into the universal `.vcf` electronic card format.

How to configure your vCard:

1. Select the "vCard" tab.

2. Fill in your primary contact points: First Name, Last Name, Mobile Phone, Work Email, and Organization.

3. Keep notes or addresses concise. More text creates a denser, tighter QR grid that requires higher camera resolution to scan.

4. Set Error Correction to Level M or Q for optimal balance between logo capacity and dot density.

5. Print this on the back of your business card or display it on your phone’s lock screen wallpaper.

URL codes redirect scanners directly to any landing page, Google Drive PDF, YouTube video, or menu.

Key optimization tips for URL codes:

• Always include the protocol (`https://`).

• Use clean, short URLs. A URL with 35 characters generates a simple, easily scannable 25x25 grid, whereas a tracking URL with 200 parameters creates a micro-dot 50x50 grid that struggles in dim light.

• If you need UTM analytics parameters, use a custom domain shortener before generating the QR code to keep the pattern clean.
